I’ve been silent lately on social media… but I haven’t been silent, I’ve been busy. After moving back to Oregon, delivering a TEDx talk in Bend on how aroma is tied to memory and experience, then sharing ideas about our Ameri Last night I shared the last of these beautiful beers from breweries that no longer exist with a friend. With me moving away, he and I will hang out again someday, but it won’t be the same and it won’t be as often. 
 
It’s okay to t The last of its kind. This is a Flanders Sour Blonde from the once great Rogue Brewery. This is not an actual style but a variation that has some really solid legs.  Frankly, I need to see more of these as it pairs exceptionally well with Mushroom Ri I recently returned from a trip to New York where I taught WSET beer classes at the International Wine Center. 
While there, I had many conversations and observations about the state of the beer industry. Here's what I came up with:
Is beer what it w Is there anything better than beer and pizza? 
 
I can think of one thing...lots of beer and pizza. In my next class, we will learn to pair different beer styles with different kinds of pizza. Which one will be your favorite?
